Stiffer Penalties for Drunk Driving?
Traffic safety authorities launched their annual crackdown against drunken drivers with the warning to offenders that violating drunk-driving rules could easily cost at least $10,000 in fines, litigation costs, and lost wages. The officials also called on States to impose stiffer penalties as a way to encourage people to follow traffic laws.
