It is Fire Prevention Week (October 8-14). The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week is “Practice Your Escape Plan!” Fire is a major concern in all regions of the United States. There are more deaths due to fire than all the natural disasters combined. More than 3,900 persons (including 850 children) are killed in fires every year, and 20,000 are injured.
