Concerns about crosswalk safety discussed following fatal accident

On October 27th, two teen boys were hit by a car while trick-or-treating in Lower Allen Township. The two were crossing Carlisle Street in a crosswalk.

One of the boys, 14 year-old Skylar Wenger, died from his injuries. Parents whose children use the same crosswalk to get to Highland Elementary School say they have expressed safety concerns for years.

April Filer and other parents again discussed those concerns at a Lower Allen Township meeting Monday night. She worries that drivers don't notice the crosswalk.

"The crosswalk is not noticeable to traffic, it's easily ignored because it's not obvious the lines aren't bright and white," she said. More ...

It's another case of negligence on the part of the community. They should really pay more attention to safety because lives are at stake. Now it's too late, two lives were lost in that tragic accident.

I have to say that Im really unimpressed with this. I mean, sure, youve got some very interesting points. But this blog is just really lacking in something. Maybe its content, maybe its just the design. I dont know. But its almost like you wrote this because everybodys doing it. No passion at all.
