Clackamas County Fire Dist. #1 and ACTS Oregon host a "Child Safety Seat Clinic" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2930 SE Oak Grove Blvd. Milwaukie, Or. 97267. Trained personnel will check child safety seats for correct use/installation, and recall information will be checked. Each seat checked takes about 25 minutes. Please read your vehicle owner's manual and car seat instructions prior to attending this check-up event. Examines the content and methods for providing forklift safety training to operators and those responsible for maintenance. Topics include principles of forklift operations, common causes of accidents and how to prevent them, conducting performance tests with practical training, preventive maintenance programs, and implementing inventive programs. Designing course lesson plans and meeting OSHA requirements are also discussed. Stressed are cost savings through improving productivity and reducing property damage, personnel injuries, improper operations and poor maintenance.
Instructor: Lonnie Kobus, B.A., CSP, Retired. Kobus has over 30 years' experience in the occupational health and safety field. He was a compliance safety engineer with CalOSHA and spent 12 years with the Metropolitan Water District as a senior occupational safety and health specialist. Kobus has taught courses on various health and safety topics for over 20 years.
