Shop N Dine Safety Seat
Hi,
This holiday season, especially, but all throughout the year, you’ll be doing a lot of shopping at the grocery store. You probably will have your toddler with you; you will not want the toddler underfoot at the store so you’ll likely put the little tyke in the shopping cart seat.
Pick your shopping cart carefully. The shopping cart’s center of gravity is altered when you put a child in it. Before putting the child in, make sure the cart is not defective, especially the wheels. A wobbly or unstable cart will have greater chances of giving you trouble, or worse, of tipping over and putting your child at risk. Remember, too, that the shopping cart is not a baby sitter so the seat will not be comfortable and may not have safety belts.
You may want to buy your own safety seat, like the Shop N Dine Safety Seat, and bring it when you shop with your toddler. At the store, you can buckle your child in snugly and securely with its five-point harness system. You can be sure the child is comfortable as it comes with a padded seat. The safety seat also makes sure your child will not be able to touch the shopping cart handles (which can be rather unsanitary). But even after taking this precaution, make sure not to leave your child in the cart alone: stay right with it; don’t walk away from it — not under any circumstance. Don’t allow another child to push it; don’t allow an older child to hang onto the cart at the front or sides; and don’t allow the toddler to stand in the cart. Falls from shopping carts are one of the leading causes of head injuries to young children, and these happen when they stand up in cart or are climbing on it.
It is such fun going shopping with your kids but as always, it is good to think ahead. Learn more about the Shop N Dine Safety Seat features by clicking the picture. Life has no reset button, think safety.
Safe living, Yovette Mumford
